SANTIAGO SECOND AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 4-YEAR-OLD

Santiago 1176 and Jan Brink came third at the qualification and ended at a second place in the championship for 4-year-olds, not more than a tenth after the winner Anna Svanberg on Deja, after the test riders had made their marks. The system with test riders was new in Sweden – new was it even that the judges evaluated the gates during the ride of the test riders. The final result, the points, consisted of the result from the first round, the points from the judges in the final round and finally the judgements from the test riders.
Santiago 1176 (after Saigon, Ronia V.S., after Flemmingh) was best at the riding test during the stallion show 2009, with his gates of a very high quality and his great ridability. At that time he was judges with the scores 9-9, 10-10 and judgements such as “a future dressage promise”. Santiago will even in 2010 be in breeding at Tullstorp.
The owner Thomas Tell has bought a half-brother to Santiago, the foal Fairytale. Fairytale has the same mother as Santiago but is after Chirlon 870. It can be a very interesting combination. The Briar sons Balistero with Nina Känsälä and Yvonne Österholm with William made good results and both went to the finals at the championship for 6-year-olds. Both Nina and Yvonne are riders at Tullstorp.
