Santiago was best at the riding test during the stallion test 2009. He is a well-proportioned, long-lined stallion with an expressive head, long neck, horizontal abdomen and well-shaped lower back. The judgements for the gates: the walk is even with a good pace, vigorous, relaxed and elastic. The trot is with a good pace and self-carriage and good activity in the hind legs. The canter is rhythmical, well-balanced and with a good self-carriage and elasticity. A stallion with a very good balance and self-carriage. Even, qualitative gates with good potential for development. The judgements from the test riders in dressage (9-9), (10,10): a horse with a lot of power and schwung. A promising dressage horse. A lovely horse! Wow! Up-hill. Very well-trained, collects and goes forward easily. Has everything that one could wish for.
In total Santiago came second at the championship for 4-year-olds in 2009 with great judgements from the test riders. The father Saigon 1034 made it to the top of the young horse competitions and has placements up to and including Intermediare 1. He has a lot of great offspring, when talking about ridability and gates. Santiago is the first approved son of Saigon. The mother Ronia V.S. is a well-merited breeding mare and the grandmother Leonia is elite awarded in the Netherlands. The grandfather Flemming is the father of many Grand Prix horses, such as Krack C (Anky von Grunsven) and Lingh (Edward Gal).
